PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral (PT SMM)

Continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives are vital to ensure availability and reliability of equipment and plant but also to ensure production and efficiency targets are achieved while maintaining health, safety and environmental standards.  Eptoscore recommended to PT SMM the installation of an online ash monitoring system to enable the realtime calculation of feed and product quality but also to allow the control and optimisation of plant equipment in realtime.

PT SMM requested Eptoscore to manage the project acting as owner’s engineer and project management team. Key decision and design factors were taken into consideration during the engineering and procurement phase of the project including:

• function and integration into existing plant operation and control;
• position and location of units;
• mechanical, electrical and automation integration;
• project and implementation schedule.

The decision was made to contract Scantech as the preferred OEM after evaluating all decision and design factors.  Manufacturing commenced after design approval and acceptance.

Packing, transport, import and delivery to site was completed successfully within the planned project timeline. The installation and commissioning activities were planned well in advance, coordinated by the Eptoscore team to ensure all parties involved were prepared for safe and on time execution.

Commissioning, performance testing and handover to PT SMM for beneficial use was achieved using the Eptoscore commissioning and handover procedures and associated sign off and acceptance certificates.
